Military Investigates Okinawa as Area of Agent Orange Exposure

Japan is one of several countries involved in the Vietnam War that are still areas of concern for Agent Orange exposure. With the city of Okinawa as a main hub for the U.S. military transport lines it's believed that thousands of hazardous materials like Agent Orange had been moved through the area during the course of the war.

Soldiers stationed in Okinawa
and those who traveled through the city during the war all had the potential to be exposed to Agent Orange, whether in contained areas such as storage barrels, or sprayed around the U.S. military bases on the mainland.

While most veterans associate Agent Orange exposure with those who were stationed in the Vietnam jungles, there are many who suffer exposure-related illnesses due to contact with the herbicide in other areas.

Okinawa is now believed to be an area that had a
high potential risk for exposing soldiers to Agent Orange. Since it's not often considered one of the common risk areas, many veterans may be suffering Agent Orange-related illnesses without knowing they were caused by a combat-connected event.

Connecting veterans to proper health evaluations and services is a key to making sure they don't needlessly suffer from combat-related conditions. By helping support veteran's advocacy groups you can provide the opportunity to receive disability support and medical care to our deserving veterans.

You Have the Power to Help a Disabled American Veteran!

Our veterans deserve the utmost care and respect in exchange for their sacrifice and service to our country, yet many suffer with disabling medical conditions and illness and struggle to make ends meet after life in the service. At Care for Disabled Veterans our goal is to assist qualified veterans in obtaining the medical evidence they need to seek their rightful benefits for combat-related disabilities.
