How Family Can Help Hospitalized US Veterans Cope with PTSD (Part B)

Seeking Care for US Veterans like Your Loved One

Help for hospitalized veterans can be fairly easy to come by, but for an older Vietnam War veteran it may not be so simple. You may have been living with the effects of PTSD in your loved one for years without knowing that there is help for US veterans and their families outside of the VA.

The first step in a family's recovery from the devastating effects of PTSD in a loved one is to get the veteran proper treatment for their condition. Veterans advocacy groups like Care for Disabled Veterans are striving to make sure that all families of disabled veterans get the support they need, both financially and emotionally.

If your family needs help with coping with a disabled veteran we can connect you with professionals who know the ins and outs of PTSD life. Even if your family member is recovering from their PTSD they can become a volunteer to help other US veterans deal with their symptoms.

Money is another issue when it comes to help for hospitalized veterans and the older Vietnam War veteran.
Once a veteran leaves the hospital they may lose the medical care they relied on in the past. If they cannot secure more treatment via things like disability benefits then they may revert back to their original, traumatized state.

Care for Disabled Veterans wants to make sure that this never happens to you or your loved one.
We seek donations from the public to help fund Independent Medical Exams (IME) so veterans can seek disability benefits with less struggle.

If your family is fortunate and can seek private treatment, you may still need a support network. Volunteers at veteran advocacy organizations donate their time and resources to help US veterans and their families cope with disabilities.

You Have the Power to Help a Disabled US Veteran!

Medical evidence is a critical component in the successful fight for veterans disability benefits. Unfortunately, many veterans lack the financial resources to obtain an independent medical exam (IME) that can provide this crucial evidence. These deserving men and women are left to rely on the VA medical system, which may not always provide the best assessment of their conditions.

At Care for Disabled Veterans we focus on connecting qualified veterans to doctors and health care facilities that provide IME services for disability claims. We are a non-profit organization that relies on donations to help provide the funding necessary to obtain these records and help disabled American veterans qualify for combat-related disability benefits. You can Support a Vet: Make the Most of your Donation by downloading our free book with a donation of any amount.
